| Welcome to THE OAKS – WATERFRONT INN AND EVENTS T he inn is an elegant yet comfortable 240-year-old plantation house situated on the banks of Oak Creek in Royal Oak, Maryland. It was converted into an inn in the late 1800s and, having recently been renovated, provides a comfortable and attractive setting for the hosting of special occasions. The main house is situated on the water and has 14 guest rooms, all tastefully appointed and varying in size and view. You have your choice of wedding ceremony venues at The Oaks. Most couples choose the magical setting of a beautifully landscaped point of land surrounded by the enchanting tran- quility of Oak Creek. A rooftop terrace that overlooks the expanse of water is another option. A cocktail hour during which guests mingle water- side or on a spacious covered dock follows the ceremony. The celebration continues with a fabu- lous reception in our exquisite grand ballroom, also with expansive water views. What better place to exchange your vows than the beautiful Oak Creek? They are at your command when planning a wed- ding, rehearsal dinner, family reunion, private party, picnic, birthday, or anniversary celebration. Indoor and outdoor staging areas and private rooms for rehearsal dinners provide a spacious, picture- perfect environment for weddings and parties, whether the affair is small or large, casual or elegant. The inn can host up to 250 guests in our scenic waterfront ballroom. The Oaks takes great pride in creating the perfect atmosphere for each bride and groom to enjoy with their guests. | wedding RECEPTION Relax and enjoy your friends and family at The Oaks. The entire inn, both grounds and staff, will be devoted exclusively to your occasion. When holding a Saturday wedding and recep- tion, we do require all main house guest rooms to be reserved by your party for both Friday and Saturday nights.
