The Museum offers a variety of beautiful spaces that can accommodate everything from an intimate luncheon for 30, a seated dinner for 500, to a reception for 3,500, while surrounding your guests with masterpieces from around the world and across the ages. SHAPIRO ROTUNDA AND COLONNADE In 1916, the MFA’s trustees invited John Singer Sargent to decorate the Rotunda, the hub of the Museum. Sargent not only provided a series of paintings and sculptures, but also reconfigured the space, uniting architecture, painting, and sculpture into a harmony suggestive of the Museum’s collections themselves. 6 WILLIAM I. KOCH GALLERY This gallery displays European paintings, including masterpieces by Tintoretto, El Greco, Velázquez, Poussin, Lorrain, and Van Dyck. SHAPIRO FAMILY COURTYARD The glass-enclosed Shapiro Family Courtyard adjacent to the Art of Americas Wing provides a dramatic setting for year-round entertaining. The acoustics are flawless, as the space was designed with a sound engineer, and the limestone walls provide the perfect backdrop for large- scale projections. M. Pei in 1981, the newly refurbished Linde Family Wing reflects Pei’s modernist design aesthetic with an emphasis on natural light. Open spaces on two levels provide event planners with the flexibility to create intimate space for smaller events or inviting areas for large receptions. All members receive ticketing benefits and invitations to VIP exhibition openings, and higher-level members receive valuable discounts on space reservation fees. Patron Program Membership Individuals wishing to host private events at the Museum must belong to the Patron Program, representing the highest level of MFA membership. Patron Program members who give more than $10,000 annually receive a 50% discount on the reservation fee, and Patrons who contribute $20,000 or higher have the entire reservation fee waived. For weddings at the MFA, membership in the $30,000 Director’s Circle Patron level is required for either the couple or parents of the couple. Rental prices are quoted upon request and based on such factors as group size, day of week, and estimated timing of the event. Membership is required to host a private event. IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE FOR GUESTS? Parking is available at the MFA garage and the Huntington and Fenway lots, located on Museum Road. Valet parking can be arranged at your event entrance. All parking arrangements are offered at the discounted member rate and can be hosted or charged directly to your guests. DO YOU HAVE ANY EXCLUSIVE VENDORS? Restaurant Associates is the exclusive caterer. The catering sales manager can offer a preferred vendor list for any of your other event needs. WHAT ARE PROTECTIVE SERVICES? The Museum’s Department of Protective Services provides security guards in all event spaces and galleries during your event. Outside services are not permitted. ARE THERE LIMITATIONS TO WHERE FOOD AND BEVERAGES MAY BE SERVED? Food and beverage areas are noted in each proposal specific to each event.
